What You’ll Do

As a Digital consultant in BeLux office the scope of your work will be as varied as the clients we serve. You will spend roughly half of your time on strategy, operations, organization, corporate finance or marketing and sales. The remaining half is dedicated to IT or technology-related projects always with strong link to business strategy, such as developing an IT strategy to support changes business needs, prioritizing technology investment to leverage the latest market trends, transforming IT organizations into high-performing units and defining how to get the most out of new technologies like Big Data and Cloud.

When you join McKinsey as an (Junior) Associate, you are joining a firm that will challenge you and invest heavily in your professional development. We view the Business Analyst position as the start of a rewarding, challenging, and highly flexible career with McKinsey. During your first few years with the firm, you will serve as a BA on multiple client engagements and work with a number of colleagues and clients in a range of industry and functional areas. We encourage you to explore different content areas or geographies through rotation with one of our practices (e.g., corporate finance, social sector, healthcare, operations) or global offices; many do this after two years as a generalist BA.
Following your BA tenure, assuming good performance, you will move into a post-graduate school role. Some BAs will take advantage of the opportunity to get outside experience through a secondment (externship) with a private sector or social sector client with the firm’s support. Others may choose to pursue graduate school with support from the firm.

You will work at the client site with your McKinsey colleagues and with the client team, owning a distinct piece of the project. Some examples of the specific work may include interviewing clients, leading client teams, building financial models, creating and delivering presentations, and working with McKinsey subject experts to develop perspectives and insights for the client.
Our Business Analyst Intern program gives a group of undergraduate students and eligible graduate students first-hand experience with consulting at McKinsey. You will work in your host office for a minimum of 6 weeks. You will participate in an introductory training program, as well as a range of social activities to get to know your office and the firm. At the end of the internship, you may receive an offer to join us as a full-time Business Analyst after the completion of your degree.
